The weight of most rackets is between 250 and 350 grams. The most popular ones are around 275 grams.

Balance Point

A better name for balance is probably weight distribution. There is a point along the length of a racket where it will balance. You measure this point from the end of the handle.

String Area

Many people refer to the Head-Size of a racket, but it is really the surface area of the strings. It is measured in square centimetres or inches.

Racket Length

For many years, the standard length of a racket was 68.5 centimetres or 27 inches. A few years ago some longer rackets were introduced that were mainly 71 centimetres or 28 inches in length.

Frame Profile

This is the width of the racket frame. Players who need more power should use a Wide-Body racket. A thinner frame is more forgiving but also less powerful.
