Tennis Racket Guide The aim of “Your-Racquet” is to explain in a simple way the factors that influence the performance of a racket. This should help you when selecting a new racket and provide a few hints that could help to improve the performance of your current racket.
Beginners are recommended to look at the section on Features Explained first. More experienced players can use links to a particular topic from the menu.
You could find it useful to make a note of the measurements of your racket. To do this print out a copy of Rackets Compared and enter the details.
The Next Stage Once you know more about the features of a racket, you will usually want some further information. This could be about the type of grip or strings to use. You can use the links from the main menu for these items.
Perhaps you want to compare different types of rackets. In this case go to the Rackets Compared page. This describes a selection of racket types. |
Useful Note It is important to remember that a racket is the combination of a frame, the strings and a grip. A poor grip, for example, could cause the racket to twist in your hand.
All of the items must work together to give the best performance. You should select each item that gives the performance you need.
You will then have a unique piece of equipment that is your personal racket. |
