Tennis Racket Guide - String Area

You should have read the Racket Features Page, and would now like some further details about the string area of a racket.

Most rackets are in one of four groups which are

Mid - Mid Plus - Oversize - Super Oversize

A typical Mid-Plus racket would have a string area of 660 centimetres or 102 inches.

Each group is shown in the table. There is a guide to the important factors of power and control.

Useful Hint

Power and Control are also influenced by the stiffness of a racket.

Players who want more power will probably find a stiffer racket better.
