Performance	You will probably be satisfied with a medium response from the strings. The combination of good response and durability is difficult to find.
Durability	Use of specialist materials can increase the playing life of a string. Materials such as Polyester or Kevlar are used in many durable strings. You could also consider using a combination of two types of string.
String Gauge	If you prefer a traditional type of string, you will need a thicker gauge to give extra durability. You can use a medium gauge when you select a string made from specialist materials.
Cost	If you break strings you will usually select a low to medium priced string. This will help to keep your restring costs as low as possible.
